An order of service is an integral piece of stationery for any church wedding. If you have to have one, why not have one that matches your wedding stationery package. I have known friends to forget completely about the order of service until they get a prompt from the vicar.
Some important things to note, when getting orders of service made it is very important to check the copyright of all hymns you would like featured. Permission to reproduce copyright music and words must always be obtained.
You will need to print in your Order of Service the following information:
– title, author, owner of copyright if applicable for each hymn/song.
– the phrase “Words for the above hymns/songs are reproduced with permission under CCL 518890” (for St James) or CCL 5841 (for Emmanuel) – if applies
It is sufficient to print the CCL information discreetly at the end of your Order of Service.
If you are in any doubt, please seek the advice of your local church. The church staff will be more than pleased to advise you on all church related ceremony information.
Your orders of service can be completely personalised to fit the style and theme of your wedding. The order of service is handmade and can include any ribbons, embellishments, calligraphy, letterpress or foil pressed design.
